How To Use Dishwasher | Easy Step By Step Guide

Many of us aren’t familiar with how to use Dishwasher. In this article, you will learn how to use a dishwasher effectively.

Step By Step Process : How To Use A Dishwasher

Step 1: Pre-Loading

Before loading your dishes in the Machine, Simply remove any food remains from the dishes.

Step 2: Loading

How Does Dishwasher Work?

Dirty Bowls and plates go on the bottom rack of the machine for best cleaning result, the water spray is strongest on the bottom rack of the dishwasher. Glasses and cups place on the top rack, place these face down in the dishwasher. Do not overload the machine with dishes.

Step 3: Add Dishwasher Salt

Salt needs for the water softening system, It softens the water before water enters the Machine. Please note that dishwasher salt is different from table salt.

To add salt, every fourth cycle or so, open cap and fill the salt dispenser with water (only required when using your dishwasher for the first time). Then pour the salt in the salt dispenser until it is full and the water runs out.

Note: Never fill the salt dispenser with detergent as this can damage the water softening system.

Step 4 : add Rinse Aid

A rinse aid enhances cleaning and drying by removing streaks and spots from the dishes. It gives you stain-free dishes and clear glasses. To add rinse aid, open the rinse-aid dispenser and pour the rinse aid.

Step 5 : add Detergent

You can use powder or liquid dishwasher detergent in your dishwasher.

Note: An alternative to using above 3 separate products is to use a 3-in-1 product that combines detergent, water softener, and rinse agent. if you live in a hard water area, it’s best to add separate rinse aid and salt.

Step 6 : Close the Door

Step 7 : Run wash cycle

Check the wash cycles your machine offers. Each works differently. Depending on how tough the food stains are, you should choose the correct wash cycle.

  • Normal/ Regular wash cycles are suitable for most everyday items such as crockery, pans and cutlery. They wash dishes at around 65ºC.
  • Quick wash is useful for less dirty items.
  • Eco wash cycle reduces the amount of water and energy used but takes more time a normal cycle.

Step 8 : Done

Leave the Machine to Do Its Job.
