Design and Quality
Bosch 100 Series offers a variety of colours and designs, they come in Black, white and stainless steel colours and Bar Handle and Recessed Handle designs.
100 series has a plastic tub, unlike other Bosch series dishwashers. A stainless tub is preferable to plastic because it is durable and It is more hygienic than plastic. The less expensive dishwasher (SHEM3AY56N/SHEM3AY52N) model has a white plastic exterior and old-style buttons, and not lives up to Bosch’s reputation for well designed and quality dishwashers.

Capacity
Bosch 100 series dishwashers are spacious and come with 14 or 15 place settings, which is ideal for medium-sized families with up to 5-6 members. Manual Height Adjustment for Upper Rack offers more capacity which really gives you the perfect space to fit larger dishes. Bosch 100 series has provided a silverware basket that can fit all your cutlery and can be placed anywhere in the dishwasher, it leaves more room for plates and glasses. it has a utility rack on the left-hand side to keep different-shaped items.
The only dishwashers above $600 have standard 3rd rack and Rackmatic feature, A 3rd rack offers 30% more loading capacity, the RackMatic middle rack easily adjusts to 3 different heights, allowing taller items to fit in the middle rack while leaving room for pots and pans below.

Bosch 100 Series Dishwasher Cleaning Performance
Bosch 100 Series dishwashers offer relatively good cleaning performance and do a decent job of cleaning. They offer 5 Wash programmes (1 Hour, Auto, Normal, Pots & Pans, Rinse).
- The 1 Hour wash cycle does a decent job of cleaning dishes in 60 mins in our test.
- The Auto wash cycle is meant for cleaning dishes of different forms amounts of dirt and performance is decent.
Bosch 100 Series dishwasher offers good cleaning performance for its price range.

Drying Performance
Entry-level models are not good at drying. It’s recommended to use rinse aid for better drying performance. The drying performance of this series is not as good as that of the higher-priced other Bosch series models.
Few models have an Extra Dry option, the Extra Dry option raises the internal temperature and extends the time for better drying performance.

Noise Level
Most of the Bosch 100 series dishwashers are rated as being 50 dB and some little expensive models are quiet as 48 dB. Dishwashers below 45 dB noise level rating considered quiet and 48-50 dB which means it has a sound similar in intensity to an electric fan.

Bosch 100 Series Dishwasher cleans decent and quieter than other dishwashers in this price range. What we don’t like about 100 Series is Drying and a plastic tub, a plastic tub allows it to have a lower price than the other Bosch series models.
If you’re looking for a dishwasher with a limited/tight budget and you can live with a few slight drawbacks then Bosch 100 series will be a good option for you. If you can spend between $700 – $1000, we recommend checking out dishwashers in Bosch 300 Series.
